Creventic is delighted to today confirm the eagerly awaited fourth date of the 2027 Prototype Cup Europe calendar, a mid-summer trip to Circuit Paul Ricard in France where the championship will run alongside the one-make Lamera Cup.

Taking place over the weekend 9/10/11 July, the event will be the fourth and penultimate round of next year’s Prototype Cup Europe and will mark an exciting first for the category’s LMP3 prototypes, which will have their maiden opportunity to race on one of Europe’s fastest and most popular tracks.

As previously revealed, the new Prototype Cup Europe campaign will again begin at Mugello Circuit in Italy on 19/20/21 March, before a visit to Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium across the weekend 9/10/11 April. Austria’s Red Bull Ring is another new venue for Prototype Cup Europe, and hosts the third round on 14/15/16 May – the predecessor Prototype Cup Germany did race at RBR in 2025.

Next will come the newly confirmed mid-summer meeting at Circuit Paul Ricard with the Lamera Cup, taking place on 09/10/11 July, fitting very nicely between the Red Bull Ring event and the fifth and final round of the season in Spain. The Prototype Cup Europe finale will be contested at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya across the weekend 10/11/12 September.

Importantly, aside from the visit to France in support of the Lamera Cup, the other four Prototype Cup Europe events will all be as support to Creventic’s very own Michelin 24H SERIES European Series, ensuring a simply outstanding calendar for the LMP3 drivers and teams in the championship’s sophomore year.

Prototype Cup Europe, of course, is a series exclusively for LMP3 prototype race cars from marques such as Ligier, Duqueine, Ginetta and Adess. Two 55-minute races are contested at each event, with driver changes mid-race and, as 2026 proved, plenty of nail-biting action and excitement. All race action is streamed live online at Creventic Motorsports TV on YouTube.

Orry Lichtenberg, Prototype Cup Europe Series Coordinator:
“We are happy to be able to add yet another new venue to our calendar and delighted to be taking Prototype Cup Europe to Circuit Paul Ricard. France is the home country of our long-standing partner ACO and the country where the LMP3 concept was first conceived.

“Circuit de Paul Ricard is an amazing facility, and the Côte d’Azur is a great region to combine racing with a relaxing stay at the beach. We are sure that this addition will bring new potential customers to the series. Many teams that run LMP3 are situated in France and now we bring the Prototype Cup Europe directly to them!”
