ISR and Jazeman Jaafar couldn’t hope for a better start to their 2014 campaign in Alcaniz. On the Spanish track, that is playing host to the first collective test of the season, the Czech team and the Malaysian driver shone, posting the third fastest time in the morning session with a 1’39″764. In the afternoon the pairing improved to 1’39″316, a laptime that was worth 5th place on the timesheet. Thanks to an entirely troublefree day, Jaafar completed a total of 59 laps, enough to test many different setup solutions to try and make the most of the brand new 2014 tyres, a softer and stickier compound provided by Michelin.
