First victory and good placings for the German Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport at the FIA Formula 3

The first racing weekend in Germany this year (3rd/4th of May) of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship ended with a victory and further good placings for the German Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport from Berlin on the Hockenheimring. The event took place in between the main schedule of the DTM season opening. Lucas Auer, the new Austrian driver for the racing stable from the German capital city, won the race on Saturday and finished two times on position four the day after. At the fourth season run the last year’s vice champion Felix Rosenqvist (Sweden) finished fifth for the Berlin Team, in run five he finished on position seven, but in the last race he discarded early being on position three very likely due to electronic problems. Roy Nissany (all Dallara Mercedes) scored his first points on Sunday afternoon on position eight. He discarded on Saturday due to a cooling system damage after a hit by a combatant, on Sunday morning he finished 15th.

„After the great results on Saturday our drivers were also able to show their skills on Sunday again. We are all very happy about the first victory this year and the further good placings in the top-class field, where hundreds of seconds decide at the Qualifying“, team principal Peter Mücke said. „Lucas did a great job on track. After the invulnerable start to finish line victory he was hampered at the Qualifying for the other two runs, but he made the best out of it starting from position eight.“ Lucas Auer is on overall position four after the runs four to six of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. Felix Rosenqvist is on position ten, Roy Nissany on 14. kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport is on overall position two at the team rankings.

„I am satisfied with the racing weekend in Hockenheim. Our performance was good enough to win“, Peter Mücke said. „The fact that we had five different winners in six season races so far shows the performance density at this championship. It is the hardest championat of all and will remain the same.“ The season runs seven to nine of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship are scheduled for coming weekend (9th to 11th of May) on the city course in French Pau.
