Reinhard Vier and his 17-year old son, Hubertus-Carlos, will contest this season in the ATS Formula 3 Cup Trophy with their own team, TTCmotorsport. This lineup is nothing new in motorsports. By now, Hubertus-Carlos Vier is well known in Formula sports. After a successful career in karting he had a try at the ADAC Formel Masters Championship in 2011. And now, the student from Eichstätt in Upper Bavaria is planning to compete in the ATS Formula 3 Cup.
After a victory in the 2009 ADAC federal final run of karting in Hahn, his participation in the 2010 European Karting Championship and the U18 World Championship, he started off in the ADAC Formel Masters in 2011. While he only took part occasionally in that series in 2012, Hubertus-Carlos Vier proved to be very successful in the company’s own Formula Renault 2.0. Beside a double victory at the Austria Formula Renault Cup in the Lausitz the 17-year old was constantly among the top four. Both, father and son intend to spend test days and the weekends during the next season at the race tracks across Europe. “We want to achieve our goals together! If we succeed we will be able to share our joy,” says Reinhard Vier.
The goal: use the opportunity of showing his skills!
The team from Eichstätt in Upper Bavaria – located in the centre of Bavaria – consider themselves set up well in the upper house of the German Formula junior series. “Hubertus-Carlos has made great progress between 2011 and today, also with regard to mental aspects. He works hard, both, in school and in motorsports. He is dedicated to motorsports,” says his father. “We intend not to lose track of the competitors.”
Father and son have set the goal to prove themselves as good as possible and to use very opportunity for progress. The team relies on their driver’s progress over the past two years. After all, he was able to show in several Formula 3 tests that he is someone to watch out for. “Our driver as well as the entire TTCmotorsport team cannot wait for the season to start,” says Team Principal Reinhard Vier.
One free cockpit left
Hubertus-Carlos Vier will contest the season in his Dallara F305 Mercedes. The preparations are not finished yet, due to the current weather conditions. Numerous days of testing are scheduled. There are also plans to enter one more car, another Dallara F305 Mercedes. TTCmotorsport can offer a cockpit and test days to interested drivers.
