The summer break has ended, and WorldSBK resumed at Magny-Cours, where Nicolo Bulega from Aruba.it Racing – Ducati showed his dominance by topping Free Practice. Bulega has won 23 out of 24 races this season, despite facing a technical issue early on and his teammate Iker Lecuona crashing during the afternoon session. Bulega finished the day in first place, followed by Sam Lowes from ELF Marc VDS Racing Team and Lecuona in third.

Xavi Vierge from Pata Maxus Yamaha was the top Yamaha rider after a strong lap in the morning. The high track temperatures of 45°C in the afternoon made it tough to improve lap times, leading riders to focus on race simulations. Vierge ended the day as the only non-Ducati rider in the top seven, finishing ahead of Yari Montella and Lorenzo Baldassarri.

Teams took advantage of the afternoon conditions to work on race pace, with Alex Lowes from bimota by Kawasaki showing consistent performance, finishing tenth after completing 41 laps. The day saw multiple incidents, including Bahattin Sofuoglu crashing twice and being ruled out of the weekend due to a concussion. Somkiat Chantra also crashed, and Andrea Locatelli faced technical issues.

Bulega mentioned he did not feel his best and wanted to improve, stating that he would work on the bike setup for better performance in the upcoming sessions.
