Gianmaria Bruni e Toni Vilander, sulla Ferrari 458 Italia #51 di AF Corse, chiudono la “6 Ore delle Americhe” quarto appuntamento del FIA World Endurance Championship (Wec) – con un risultato che lascia inalterata la posizione nel mondiale Piloti GT. Al momento, Bruni e Vilander hanno 106 punti, 25 in più di Makowiecki. Ferrari mantiene la prima posizione nel mondiale Costruttori GT con 157 lunghezze (+ 4 su Porsche) e AF Corse è sempre prima nella classifica Team GTE Pro con 106 punti (Porsche Team Manthey è secondo con 86) Restando in categoria GTE Pro, Davide Rigon e James Calado tagliano la bandiera a scacchi della gara statunitense con il quinto posto. In categoria GTE Am, Luis Perez Companc, Marco Cioci e Mirko Venturi, sulla Ferrari 458 Italia numero 61, guadagnano la quarta piazza. Il trio è terzo nel mondiale Piloti GTE Am con 76 punti. Al termine della “6 Ore delle Americhe”, la Ferrari 458 Italia numero 90 di 8 Star Motorsport gestita tecnicamente da AF Corse è quinta con Gianluca Roda, Paolo Ruberti e Jeff Segal. La gara dei tre è stata condizionata dalla sospensione della gara mentre stavano percorrendo la pit lane. Settima piazza per Steve Wyatt, Michele Rugolo e Andrea Bertolini sulla Ferrari 458 Italia numero 81.
