Mücke Motorsport goes for podium places at ADAC Formula Masters home game at the Lausitzring

Following the very good results at the start of the second half of the ADAC Formula Masters season, which took place just under two weeks ago at the Red Bull Ring in the Austrian Spielberg, Berlin team Mücke Motorsport is looking forward to another highlight. The home game for the German Capital’s racing team is scheduled for the weekend (24th to 26th August) at teh Lausitzring near Klettwitz in South Brandenburg. Season races 16 to 18 of the junior series will take place on the 4.534 kilometre long track.

All five Mücke Motorsport drivers intend to reach podium places. “After a victory, a second place, the second race lap and two pole positions in Austria, it is now up to our drivers to build on this solid foundation and hopefully achieve even better results”, so Peter Mücke. According to the team manager, not only the oldies like Jason Kremer (Bonn, sponsored by the ADAC Sports Foundation and the Deutsche Post Academy) and Israeli Roy Nissany after his first victory in Spielberg, but also the three rookies Luca Caspari (Meerbusch), Florian Herzog (Dresden) and Hendrik Grapp from Berlin, advertising for ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg, are more than capable of winning.

The Mücke team, along with Herzog and Grapp who reside just a stone throw away from the race track expect a large gathering of fans at the Lausitzring. “Many friends, relatives and colleagues will turn up to support us. Obviously, that’s a huge boost to morale and the extra pressure motivates us to try even harder for best results. But I’m sure our boys are able to cope with that”, explains Peter Mücke. He is also convinced that local heroes from Dresden and Berlin, Florian Herzog and Hendrik Grapp are in with a chance of podium places. After all, Herzog celebrated his first pole position in Spielberg and, like Grapp, temporarily drove in podium position in race 14.

Overall ratings after race 15 show Jason Kremer, who finished as runner up in Spielberg’s Sunday race, in third place. With just 20 points to the top of the table, he is currently the best placed Mücke pilot, followed by Luca Caspari (8th), Roy Nissany (9th), Florian Herzog (12th) and Hendrik Grapp (13th). The team ratings list Mücke Motorsport in second place.
