Hockenheim, next stop for Ocean Racing Technology and the GP3 Series

This weekend (July 21-22), the GP3 Series will have its German races of the calendar, contested on the Hockenheim circuit, in the Land of Baden-Wurtemberg. Ocean Racing Technology is more motivated than ever, following a series of excellent results, which opened up new prospects for the Portuguese team which, despite just getting started this season in the GP3 Series, the GP2 sister series has already climbed the podium twice, and is in 6th place in the overall ranking, just 2 points out of 5th.

Kevin Ceccon, Robert Cregan and Carmen Jorda will continue to defend the colors of Ocean Racing Technology. The level of experience and ambitions of the three drivers are clear. Kevin Ceccon is in 8th place in the championship, 15 points from 3rd, and hopes to add two good results to his list of conquests. The Italian driver has his sights on the podium. “I hope that everything will work wonderfully this weekend and that everything will go off without a hitch. I had a good session in the simulator and I feel ready for a new battle,” declared Kevin Ceccon.

Robert Cregan feels more at ease in the car, and the logical extension of his development would be to fight for points. “I am very happy to be taking part in these races because I already know the Hockenheim circuit. It is similar to Valencia, where I was competitive. I hope to be able to secure my first points of the season,” declared the Irish driver.

Sick with a fever in Silverstone two weeks ago, Carmen Jorda was unable to take part in the last meeting and is impatient to get back behind the wheel. “I can’t wait to drive and make up for lost time. It’s too bad what happened to me in the last races, but I am still motivated and my ambition is to do better and better.”

Both GP3 Series races will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, Saturday at 5:15pm and Sunday at 9:20am.
