Dopo aver sfiorato il titolo nel 2011, Piergiuseppe Perazzini e Marco Cioci ritornano grandi interpreti della Le Mans Series (che nel 2012 ha assunto la denominazione di European Le Mans Series, ELMS). Al fianco dei due piloti italiani, nel difficile campionato di durata, ci sarà un altro specialista delle vetture GT: Matt Griffin, irlandese.
Il trio gareggerà su una Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 di AF Corse – unico team italiano al via della ELMS – nella categoria GTE Am.
Sulla carta, Perazzini-Cioci-Griffin possono puntare ai vertici di categoria: dalla loro, oltre alla ottime doti di guida, hanno una vettura performante e molto competitiva, un feeling incoraggiante con le gomme Michelin e la qualità di un team plurititolato.
Il primo appuntamento dell’European Le Mans Series è previsto per il prossimo 1 aprile, sul circuito del Paul Ricard (FRA). In programma c’è la “Sei ore di Le Castellet”.
EUROPEAN LE MANS SERIES: PERAZZINI, CIOCI AND GRIFFIN WILL RACE IN THE STRUGGLE FOR THE SUPREMACY OF THE GTE AM CATEGORY WITH THEIR AF CORSE FERRARI 458
After the brilliant second place in 2011, Piergiuseppe Perazzini and Marco Cioci become again great stars of the Le Mans Series (from this season, the continental competition for GT cars and prototypes is under the name “European Le Mans Series”, ELMS). Alongside the two Italian drivers, there will be another specialist of the GT car: the Irish Matt Griffin.
The trio will race on AF Corse Ferrari 458 GT2, in the GTE Am category. AF Corse is the only Italian team at the start of the European Le Mans Series.
Perazzini-Cioci-Griffin are one of the crews to beat in their category. They have great ability at the weel, a very competitive car, good feeling with the Michelin tyres and a winning team behind is back.
The new Elms will kick off on the Paul Ricard circuit on 31st March‐1st April with the “6 Hours of Castellet”.
