La Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 numero 51 di AF Corse – guidata in gara da Giancarlo Fisichella, Gianmaria Bruni e Toni Vilander – stacca il tempo più veloce nelle qualifiche della 12 Ore di Sebring, gara di apertura del FIA World Endurance Championship, la massima competizione per vetture GT e prototipo. La 458 degli ultimi campioni dell’Intercontinental Le Mans e della Le Mans Series (Fisichella e Bruni) è imprendibile per tutte le altre vetture della categoria GTE Pro e si piazza davanti a tutti con oltre 3 decimi di vantaggio.
“Sentivo bene la macchina e penso ci siano premesse ottime per la gara – racconta Gianmaria Bruni, autore del tempo di 1’58”427 che ha regalato la pole -. Il livello dei partecipanti è molto alto e di sicuro ci sarà spettacolo in pista”.
L’altra Ferrari 458 Italia schierata da AF Corse nella GTE Pro, la numero 71, partirà dalla quinta posizione. Durante le dodici ore di gara in Florida, si alterneranno al volante Andrea Bertolini, Olivier Beretta e Marco Cioci.
Nella categoria GTE Am, la 458 Italia GT2 #61 di Robert Kauffman, Michael Waltrip e Rui Aguas (in gara con il team AF-Waltrip) scatterà al semaforo verde dalla sesta posizione in griglia.
The Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 #51 of AF Corse team – driven by Giancarlo Fisichella, Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander – was very fast during the qualifying session of the Sebring 12 Hours. The last champions of the ILMC and LMS (Fisichella and Bruni) will start from the pole position of the GTE Pro category the first race of the Fia World Endurance Championship, the most important competition for GT cars and prototypes.

The other AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 of GTE Pro, #71, is in fifth position on the starting grid. During the race, the car will be shared by Andrea Bertolini, Olivier Beretta and Marco Cioci.
In the GTE Am category, the AF-Waltrip Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 #61 driven by Robert Kauffman, Michael Waltrip and Rui Aguas will start from the sixth position.
