AVF by Adrián Vallés has positive Friday il F.Renault 3.5 2015 opener

It’s been a good and productive day for AVF by Adrián Vallés, as the Spanish squad lined-up for the first round of the 2015 Formula Renault 3.5 series at Motorland Aragón in Alacaniz. Benefitting from warm temperatures and clear skies, the World Series by Renault cars ran in two 50-minute collective test sessions. And, as happened in preseason testing, the entries spent the first segment on-track with the high-downforce configuration before switching to the low-downforce aero trim in the afternoon.

After ending up the AM session in an impressive third place, Beitske Visser rounded out the top-10 in the PM one, while Alfonso Celis Jr, who also was in the top-10 early, was forced to sit in the pits for part of the afternoon due to an off-track exit.
Alfonso Celis Jr (#15) Test 1: P8 1’42”376 – Test 2: P15 1’43”973

“Driving this car coming from the GP3 Series is always a tough jump. Yesterday,I was taking laps at Barcelona, and having to re-adapt in such a short amount of time is definitely not easy. In addition to that I’m a little bit disappointed for the mistake I made in the afternoon, when I missed the braking point in order to avoid a car and ended up into the gravel. Once I was ready to re-start, I only had a few minutes and one single flying lap available”.
Beitske Visser (#16) Test 1: P3 1’42”083 – Test 2: P10 1’43”332

“I’m very satisfied with how the car behaves with the high-downforce configuration. Compared to the preseason test, the track is totally different, like there was no grip whatsoever. So the benchmarks we had just changed dramatically. All in all though, it’s been a good day”.
