I.S.R. Racing scores valuable points in Race 2 at the Nürburgring

I.S.R. Racing ended a challenging weekend on an high note at the Nürburgring, as the team managed by Igor Salaquarda lined-up for Qualifying 2 and Race 2 on the twisty Eifel venue. The morning session was ran in wet weather, and after struggling a bit on Saturday, Malaysian racer Jazeman Jaafar tamed the tough conditions with a 13th place. With the racetrack becoming dry for the race, the 21-year-old from Kuala Lumpur had the chance to showcase his skills with a clean start. He then got the nod of Will Buller in a couple of situations and improved up to the 9th position, a spot he successfully held until the checkered flag fell.

As the team and driver managed to overturn a difficult start of the weekend to make their way into the the points again, they are now set for a well-deserved summer break. The World Series Renault action will be back underway on the next 13th and 14th of September at the Hungaroring circuit near Budapest.

Jazeman Jaafar – Q2: P13 – R2: P9

“There have been a great improvement and I think that today in terms of the pace were among the fastest. In the first corner it was a matter of survival but I managed to avoid the clashes before starting to push hard. I overtook Buller before the pit and then again after, ending up with a good 9th position. I look forward to the Hungaroring, which is challenging and has a lot of tough corners. I already raced there so I hope to be a good contender…”
