GDL Racing celebrated a double podium finish at the Austrian Red Bull Ring track last weekend, in the third round of the Targa Tricolore Porsche championship. The San Marino-based squad took the GT2 r2 class win with the Vittorio Bagnasco-Nicola Bravetti duo, who already began the season with another victory at Vallelunga on April. The Italian and Swiss drivers, sharing a 997 GT3 Cup S car, scored the third overall GT Open place, completing a very pleasing weekend in which they started from the third row of the grid.
Bashar Mardini started from third and fought for the first place before he made a mistake having a spin. Dubai’s racer recovered well and finished second, taking the championship lead.
