HANKOOK 24H DUBAI | 8-9-10 JANUARY 2015

Dutch agency CREVENTIC, organisers and promoters of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook, has already received more than 50 entries for the tenth anniversary edition of the Hankook 24H DUBAI, to be held at Dubai Autodrome from January 8 till 10, 2015. “Together with our partners, Hankook as our title sponsor, our friends from DNRT, the Dutch National Racing Team, who have been on board since the inaugural race in Dubai in 2006, as well as management and staff of Dubai Autodrome, we are already working hard on the preparation for this event. The tenth anniversary edition of this race will be a very special event,” says Gerrie Willems on behalf of CREVENTIC. “Since our first race in 2006, the event in Dubai has grown to a major international race with teams and drivers from all over the world, a good mix of GTs and touring cars and great competition in all classes,” Gerrie Willems emphasises. “Interest for the race is huge and given the number of entries received already, we expect that the maximum grid capacity for next year’s race will be reached before the summer.” As usual, the entry fee for the Hankook 24H DUBAI includes standard transport of a race car and equipment from main ports all over the world to Dubai and back. With a standard entry fee of 9,100 EUR for A6 class cars and 8,900 EUR for all other cars with engines above 2,000 cc, a special entry fee of 5,400 EUR applies for touring cars with engines up to 2,000 cc. If required, CREVENTIC can also offer tailor-made travel packages for teams and guests. High-quality on-site catering is available at the circuit throughout the event. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Hankook 24H DUBAI, the traditional welcome barbecue in the paddock on Wednesday evening is offered free of charge to all the teams.

A new Cup class for the BMW M235i
Following a request made by BMW Motorsport, a new Cup class for the BMW M235i has been added to the existing class structure for the 2014 24H SERIES powered by Hankook. This class will make its debut during the Hankook 12H ZANDVOORT (30-31 May, 2014) and will be racing in the Hankook 24H DUBAI for the first time in 2015. For the rest, all classes remain the same as this year. “We had great racing in Dubai with no less than 27 overall lead changes and very good competition in all the classes and that is what we are expecting for next year’s race, too,” Gerrie Willems says. Of course, CREVENTIC’s partners DNRT and Dubai Autodrome are instrumental in the success of the event. Willems: “DNRT’s involvement has been a great value over the years and we really are enjoying the partnership with these enthusiastic people, not only in Dubai, but also for our other events. The co-operation with Dubai Autodrome is also a very pleasant experience. This year, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing provided great support as well. Because of this, there was greater awareness of this event than ever before in the city.”

With total air time of almost 5,000 hours for the 2014 race, television presence of the 24H DUBAI doubled compared to the previous year. Also, more than 1,500 articles about the race were published in print and online media all over the world. Live commentary on Radiolemans.com reached a huge global audience of half a million listeners while a dedicated Youtube channel and the social media outlets (Facebook: 24HSeries, Twitter: @24HSeries) proved to be very popular, too. The Radiolemans.com commentary team will be back for the race in 2015. TV coverage on Motors TV and various other channels is planned again, too.
