Gara vincente per le Ferrari 458 Italia di AF Corse nell’European Le Mans Series 2014. Nell’appuntamento di apertura della stagione, la 4 Ore di Silverstone, Duncan Cameron, Matt Griffin e Michele Rugolo chiudono al primo posto di categoria LMGTE sulla 458 Italia numero 55. In categoria GTC, a vincere è la Ferrari numero 96 del Team Ukraine (gestita tecnicamente da AF Corse) guidata da Andriy Kruglyk, Sergii Chukanov e Alessandro Pier Guidi. In terza posizione della stessa categoria, troviamo la Ferrari numero 60 Formula Racing con Jan Magnussen, John Laursen e Mikkel Mac; anche in questo caso, si tratta di una vettura gestita dal team italiano. Brillante risultato anche per le Ferrari 458 Italia numero 56 di AT Racing; Alexander Talkanitsa e Alexander Talkanitsa Junior, affiancati da Pierre Kaffer, sono riusciti a strappare il quarto posto di categorie LMGTE nella gara d’esordio. Nella stessa categoria, al sesto posto ci sono Piergiuseppe Perazzini, Marco Cioci e Micheal Lyons sulla Rossa numero 54. In decima posizione tra le vetture GTC, Mads Rasmussen e Dennis Lind sulla Ferrari 458 Italia numero 63. Dodicesima e tredicesima posizione rispettivamente per Adrien De Leener – Cedric Sbirrazzuoli sulla 458 Italia numero 95 e per Howard Blank, Yannick Mallegol e Jean Marc Bachelier con la loro Ferrari numero 62. In casa AF Corse – team campione dell’European Le Mans Series nel 2011 – ora si guarda al prossimo appuntamento del campionato continentale, fissato ad Imola il 18 maggio.

The European Le Mans Series (ELMS) 2014 opening race, the 4 Hours of Silverstone, was a triumph for the Ferrari 458′s of AF Corse. Duncan Cameron, Matt Griffin and Michele Rugolo took home first place in the LMGTE category in their 458 Italia #55. In the GTC category, the winner was the Ferrari #96 entered by Team Ukraine and managed by AF Corse, with the trio of Andriy Kruglyk, Sergii Chukanov and Alessandro Pier Guidi at the wheel. In third position of the GTC, Jan Magnussen, John Laursen and Mikkel Mac for Formula Racing team in the Ferrari 458 Italia #60, also managed by AF Corse. Great result at the season start also for the AT Racing Ferrari #56, managed by AF Corse: Alexander Talkanitsa, Alexander Talkanitsa Junior and Pierre Kaffer who were able to gain the fourth place in LMGTE. In the same category, sixth position for Piergiuseppe Perazzini, Marco Cioci and Micheal Lyons in the AF Corse Ferrari #54.
