Penultimo appuntamento della prestigiosa Le Mans Series che vedrà il nuovo prototipo LMP1 dotato di tecnologia Kers muovere i primi passi. L’occasione per testare la vettura in prospettiva futura, pur in un tracciato decisamente poco congeniale alle sue caratteristiche tecniche. Un palcoscenico di indubbio spessore dove, domenica 11 settembre, i migliori interpreti della Le Mans Series daranno vita all’ennesimo confronto: quello sull’asfalto della prestigiosa “6 Ore di Silverstone”.
GV Racing è pronta a scendere in campo con il suo nuovo gioiello, la Zytek 09SH, prototipo ibrido di LMP1 dotato di tecnologia Kers.
Un debutto in grande stile, avallato dalla recente omologazione da parte dell’Automobil Club de l’Ouest, che vedrà il team GV Racing mettere in pratica il peculiare lavoro svolto sulla vettura.
A calcare i chilometri del tracciato, teatro del penultimo appuntamento della Le Mans Series, saranno Giacomo Piccini, lo spagnolo Maximo Cortes ed il patron del team Ferdinando Geri.
Un confronto di alto livello tecnico, articolato su sei ore che vedranno protagonisti le blasonate Audi, Peugeot ed Aston Martin ma che, grazie all’elevato “appeal” mediatico riscontrato dopo l’ufficializzazione della omologazione, è pronto a puntare i riflettori sulla Zytek 09SH.
Pochi punti di frenata sul tracciato di Silverstone, particolare avverso al sistema di tecnologia montato sulla vettura, limitato nello sfruttamento di quei sessanta cavalli di surplus che, in altri contesti, potrebbero rivelarsi decisivi. Chilometri che, indubbiamente, saranno un importante banco di prova in prospettiva di una stagione 2012 da vivere intensamente per il team capitanato da Ferdinando Geri.
Motori accesi dalle ore 10.45 di domenica 11 setembre quando, con la partenza del penultimo appuntamento della serie internazionale, le sei ore più in vista del motorsport regaleranno le prime sensazioni al trio di punta del team GV Racing, atteso verificatore delle prestazioni del nuovo gioiello ibrido.
