Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport scores two victories

Berlin team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport started into the second season half of the ADAC Formula Masters with a brilliant result. The German Capitol’s racing team, in action for the ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg, in continuation of the recent Nürburgring success, brought home two victories and a further three podium places from last weekend’s races 13 to 15 (9th to 11th August ) which took place as the fifth event of the season on the Red Bull Ring near the Austrian Spielberg. Once again, Belgian top of the table Alessio Picariello could be seen on top of the podium twice (his eighth and ninth win of the season), before being pushed off the track in the first lap following a crash on Sunday afternoon. His Mücke team colleague Maximilian Günther (Rettenberg), sponsored by the ADAC Sports Foundation, impressed with two pole positions as well as places four (including fastest race lap), two and three in his 145 horsepower Formula ADAC racer powered by Volkswagen. Finishing in the same positions as recently at the Nürburgring, he confirmed his right to the runner up place in the overall ratings.

Kim Luis Schramm (Wümbach) achieved a thoroughly celebrated debut on the podium. The Mücke rookie from Thuringia finished the Austrian event on Sunday afternoon as second, having achieved point ratings as eighth and seventh in the previous races. “It’s just an incredible feeling to be on the podium” the 16 year old cheered, along with the entire Mücke team. “ Huge thanks to my team, our continuous improvement over the weekend was rewarded with a fantastic result.” Team manager Peter Mücke, in action at the Nürburgring Oldtimer Grandprix behind his Ford Capri RS’ steering wheel himself, fully informed of happenings in Austria while achieving a class victory, was delighted with the rookie’s outstanding result. “Kim Luis deserved this podium place with his continuous improvement and hard work, he delivered a very good performance.”

The Team kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport manager was also thrilled with the head to head by his two top pilots Alessio Picariello and Maximilian Günther.  “They fought hard but fairly, with the highest standards that can be seen in sports. Their performance has to be applauded”, explains Peter  Mücke. The racing team owner also praised Swiss rookie Giorgio Maggi (16th, 17th and 15th). “Giorgio is developing very well which he proved with a continuous improvement of his times at the Red Bull Ring.” Hendrik Grapp from Berlin did not have a great weekend this time, crossing the finishing line as 14th, 15th and 16th. “Overall, the races in Austria were a fantastic start into the second season half for our team”, says Peter Mücke, whose racing team, leading the team rating,  is full of anticipation of the next event which will be a home game. ADAC Formula Masters races 16 to 18 will take place from 30th August to 1st September on the Lausitzring near Klettwitz – barely an hours’ drive from Mücke Headquarters.
