The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and the Automobile Club d’Italia (ACI) have selected the 12 teams that will compete in the 2027 FIA Formula Regional European Championship.

Following a successful season, the championship featuring the new-generation Tatuus T-326 single-seater is already looking ahead to next year, with a 36-car grid and two new teams joining the field.

Invicta Racing and LN4 Fusion will strengthen an established line-up as the championship continues to play a key role in the FIA single-seater pathway to Formula 1.

Invicta Racing already competes in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, where it secured consecutive Drivers’ titles with Gabriel Bortoleto in 2024 and Leonardo Fornaroli in 2025. The team currently leads the 2026 Drivers’ Championship with Rafael Câmara. Recently established and co-founded by reigning Formula 1 World Champion Lando Norris, LN4 Fusion is based in the Veneto region of northern Italy.

All ten teams from the 2026 FIA Formula Regional European Championship have been retained for 2027. Among them, R-ace GP secured all three titles this season, with Emanuele Olivieri taking the Drivers’ and Rookie honours and the team winning the Teams’ Championship.

Building on the introduction of the second-generation Formula Regional chassis and new tyres in 2026, the expanded line-up will further strengthen the championship’s position as a benchmark for aspiring drivers on the road to the FIA Formula One World Championship.

The championship also reinforces the FIA’s commitment to a clear and structured single-seater pyramid, providing a logical progression from FIA-certified Formula 4 through FIA Formula Regional to FIA Formula 3, FIA Formula 2 and ultimately Formula 1.
