The competition will feature 88 drivers and 31 teams from 28 different countries.

In the LMP3 category, there are 23 entries. The title has already been secured by Danial Frost, Enzo Peugeot, and R-ace GP, making the remaining races vital for drivers wanting to finish strongly. The Vice Champions title is still up for grabs among four teams. Currently leading with 67 points is the no12 Brutal Fish by Campos Ligier, with Arthur Rogeon and August Raber as drivers. They have a slight lead over teammates Matus Ryba and Lucas Fluxá Cross in the no19 Ligier, who are close with 62 points. Following them are the no9 ANS Motorsport Ligier driven by Louis Iglesias and Maxwell Dodds, with 56 points, and the no50 23Events Racing Ligier-Toyota, driven by Colin Queen and Giovanni Maschio, with 45 points.

There are four changes to the driver lineup since Silverstone. Arthur Pavie will race with Mikkel Kristensen Illan in the no6 Ligier-Toyota. Vincent Bouteiller will team up with André Vieira in the no22 Trajectus Motorsport Ligier-Toyota. Emily Cotty will replace Mitchell Van Dijk in the no26 Bretton Racing. The last driver pairing for the no99 More Motorsport Ligier has yet to be announced. The LMP3 field will also have an additional R-ace GP entry, along with various other teams completing the 23-car grid for the Portimão Round.

In the LMP3 Pro/Am category, 11 teams are entered. With the championship already decided, focus shifts to this class and GT3. Two teams are in the running for the Pro/Am championship. Eric De Doncker and Gillian Henrion, leading in the no98 Motorsport98 Ligier-Toyota with 109 points, have a 14-point cushion over Silverstone winners Steve Parrow and Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen in the no66 Rinaldi Racing Ligier JS P325. Last year, a dramatic finish saw De Doncker and Henrion claim the title after a penalty affected the race outcome. Jacek Zielonka and Léo Sami Robinson are third but cannot overtake the leaders, while Stefan Aust and Felipe Fernandez-Laser sit fourth.

Ajith Kumar and Romain Vozniak join the no16 Ajith RedAnt Ligier, and Swedish brothers Linus and Emil Hellberg are also in the race. Other teams such as P4 Racing and Inter Europol Competition are maintaining their driver lineups for the race.

The GT3 category has ten cars competing. The current leader is Racing Spirit of Léman with the no10 Aston Martin Vantage having 92 points. Philipp Sager leads the driver’s championship after two wins, with his teammate Valentin Hasse Clot in third place. The race in Portugal will determine the champions, with Sager needing just a win to secure the title. His closest competitor is Oscar Lee Ryndziewicz in the no21 Kessel Racing Ferrari, who has also switched between different teammates. Two other teams remain mathematically in contention for the title, needing to win in Portugal while hoping the leaders face issues during the race.

There are two driver changes on the GT3 grid, with Nicky Hays and Antoine Comeau racing together for the first time in the no11 Code Racing Development Aston Martin. The rest of the GT3 entries have not changed drivers since Silverstone, completing the grid for the final round of the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup.
