Plenty of interest for 24H SERIES powered by Hankook

One month after the Hankook 24H DUBAI, the season opener of the 2015 24H SERIES powered by Hankook, there is plenty of interest for the full series. “People really appreciate our concept of having an international endurance series for GTs, touring cars and 24H Specials. As more and more entries are coming in, we already have teams and drivers with 50 different nationalities from all over the world,” says Gerrie Willems on behalf of CREVENTIC. The Dutch agency is the promoter and organiser of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook in co-operation with the Dutch National Racing Team (DNRT). “There is a good variety of cars and also a good mix of drivers with many amateurs and gentlemen drivers, semi-pros and some professionals. The philosophy of our events is based on low costs, a convivial atmosphere and fair competition on the track.” Next to the interest for the full season of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook, there are many entries for the individual rounds, too. The series continues with the Hankook 12H ITALY-MUGELLO (13-14 March, 2015) and the Hankook 12H ZANDVOORT (29-30 May, 2015) for which entries can still be submitted. Just before the summer break the second half of the season starts with the inaugural running of the Hankook 24H CIRCUIT PAUL RICARD in the south of France (10-12 July, 2015).
The upcoming race in Italy will mark the second running of the twelve-hour race, reviving the tradition of endurance racing in the beautiful region of Tuscany. Over 50 teams have already signed up for the race at the challenging circuit with plenty of undulation. Professional and in-depth coverage by the Radio Show Limited team, well-known from Radio Le Mans, is planned for the event in March.
The inaugural Hankook 24H CIRCUIT PAUL RICARD on the second weekend of July promises to be a thrilling event as well. “Ever since we announced our plans to stage a 24-hour race at Paul Ricard, the state-of-the-art facility in the south of France, we got a lot of very positive feedback,” Gerrie Willems says. “There is a lot of interest among teams and drivers to participate in this race and there is no doubt that this event is a great addition to our series!”
Next up is the Hankook 12H ZANDVOORT at the end of May, another race to have its second running this year after a successful start in 2014. Many entries for this race are coming in as well, especially after the date of the event was changed to avoid clashes with other endurance races. The nice location in the dunes on the North Sea Coast and the great character of the Zandvoort circuit are adding to the popularity of the event. For this race, live streaming and, once again, commentary by Radio Show Limited are planned.
