Giacomo Maman arriva a Imola da leader della GT4 Italy Series

Dopo la pausa estiva, Giacomo Maman è pronto a tornare in pista per il quarto appuntamento stagionale della GT4 Italy Series, in programma dal 4 al 6 settembre all’Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari di Imola.

Il pilota classe 2008 si presenta sul tracciato del Santerno da leader della classifica Pro Am insieme a Gustavo Sandrucci, con il quale condividerà ancora una volta la BMW M4 GT4 Evo schierata dalla Casals Motorsport.

La prima parte della stagione ha visto l’equipaggio raccogliere risultati importanti e mostrare grande continuità. Dopo il podio conquistato nel round inaugurale di Misano, Maman e Sandrucci hanno ottenuto quattro vittorie consecutive, imponendosi in entrambe le gare disputate a Vallelunga e replicando la doppietta nel successivo appuntamento del Mugello.

Proprio sul circuito toscano Maman aveva chiuso la prima metà del campionato con un fine settimana particolarmente positivo. Dopo essere partito dalla pole position in Gara 1 e aver costruito un margine importante nel corso del proprio stint, nella seconda manche era stato protagonista di una rimonta nella fase conclusiva, recuperando il distacco accumulato a causa dell’handicap tempo e andando a conquistare il quarto successo consecutivo.

Archiviati i risultati della prima parte della stagione, l’attenzione è ora interamente rivolta a Imola. Il circuito del Santerno rappresenterà una nuova sfida per l’equipaggio, con un tracciato tecnico e selettivo che richiederà un lavoro preciso fin dalle prove libere per trovare il miglior equilibrio della vettura.

“È bello tornare finalmente in pista dopo la pausa estiva – ha commentato Giacomo Maman – Arriviamo a Imola in una buona posizione di campionato, ma sappiamo che mancano ancora due appuntamenti e ci sono molti punti in palio. Dovremo concentrarci sul nostro lavoro fin dalle prime sessioni e cercare di essere costanti durante tutto il weekend. Il nostro obiettivo resta quello di fare il massimo possibile gara dopo gara».

L’attività della GT4 Italy Series inizierà venerdì con le due sessioni di prove libere, seguite nel tardo pomeriggio dalle qualifiche. Gara 1 è in programma sabato, mentre Gara 2 chiuderà il fine settimana nella mattinata di domenica.

After the summer break, Giacomo Maman is ready to return to the track for the fourth round of the GT4 Italy Series season, scheduled for September 4-6 at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola.

The 2008-born driver arrives at the Santerno circuit as the leader of the Pro Am standings alongside Gustavo Sandrucci, with whom he will once again share the BMW M4 GT4 Evo fielded by Casals Motorsport.

The first half of the season saw the team achieve significant results and demonstrate great consistency. After securing a podium finish in the opening round at Misano, Maman and Sandrucci secured four consecutive victories, winning both races at Vallelunga and repeating the feat in the following round at Mugello.

It was at the Tuscan circuit that Maman closed the first half of the championship with a particularly positive weekend. After starting from pole position in Race 1 and building a significant lead over the course of his stint, he staged a comeback in the final stages of the second race, closing the gap he had accumulated due to the time handicap and taking his fourth consecutive win.

With the results of the first part of the season in the bag, attention is now fully focused on Imola. The Santerno circuit will represent a new challenge for the crew, with a technical and demanding track that will require precise work starting in free practice to find the best balance for the car.

“It’s great to finally be back on track after the summer break,” commented Giacomo Maman. “We arrive in Imola in a good position in the championship, but we know there are still two rounds to go and a lot of points up for grabs. We’ll have to focus on our work from the first sessions and try to be consistent throughout the weekend. Our goal remains to do our best, race after race.”

GT4 Italy Series action will begin on Friday with two free practice sessions, followed by qualifying in the late afternoon. Race 1 is scheduled for Saturday, while Race 2 will close out the weekend on Sunday morning.
