Supersport GT – CARMINE ALFANO SCATENATO A MONZA
Il ritorno di Carmine Alfano nella Supersport GT al circuito di Monza è stato molto soddisfacente. Il pilota lucano ha ottenuto un eccellente quarto posto nella seconda manche e un doppio successo di classe con la Porsche 991 GT Cup di Tecnosport. Questo fine settimana è stato atteso dopo le buone prestazioni a Imola e nell’ATCC Cup con la BMW Serie 1.
All’inizio della competizione, Alfano ha dovuto riadattarsi alla Porsche, che non guidava da un anno e mezzo. Con il supporto dei tecnici di Tecnosport, ha migliorato le proprie prestazioni, ottenendo buone posizioni nelle qualifiche: ottavo in Q1 e nono in Q2.
Nella prima gara, Alfano ha gestito bene il veicolo, conquistando il sesto posto. Domenica, nonostante le difficoltà iniziali dovute alla pista umida e alla scelta di gomme slick, ha raggiunto un sorprendente quarto posto, alle spalle di vetture più potenti. Questo risultato rappresenta una delle migliori prestazioni della sua carriera.

Carmine Alfano’s return to Supersport GT at the Monza circuit was highly satisfying. The Lucanian driver achieved an excellent fourth place in the second heat and a double class win with the Tecnosport Porsche 991 GT Cup. This weekend was eagerly awaited after strong performances at Imola and in the ATCC Cup with the BMW 1 Series.
At the start of the competition, Alfano had to readjust to the Porsche, which he hadn’t driven for a year and a half. With the support of Tecnosport’s technicians, he improved his performance, achieving good qualifying positions: eighth in Q1 and ninth in Q2.
In the first race, Alfano managed the car well, finishing sixth. On Sunday, despite initial difficulties due to the damp track and the choice of slick tires, he achieved a surprising fourth place, behind more powerful cars. This result represents one of the best performances of his career.
