RICCARDO AGOSTINI SETTIMO A ROAD AMERICA NEL CAMPIONATO IMSA DOPO UN WEEKEND DIFFICILE

Settimo nelle qualifiche e settimo nella GTD Pro al termine delle sei ore di gara. Un risultato sicuramente sotto le aspettative a Road Atlanta per Riccardo Agostini.

Il padovano, in equipaggio con l’inglese James Calado sulla Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo di Triarsi Competizione, nonostante l’ottimo pacchetto piloti-vettura-team è una condotta completamente esente da errori, non è riuscito a inserirsi nella top-5.

Sostanzialmente Agostini e Calado hanno pagato in termini di velocità, benché alla fine siano stati i migliori nella loro classe con una Ferrari.

Peccato, perché in generale il potenziale per aspirare a qualcosa di più c’era. Ma non tutti gli elementi per riuscirci.

Adesso si volta pagina. Intanto guardando al prossimo impegno dell’European Le Mans Series in calendario sul circuito belga di Spa il 22 e 23 agosto, dove Agostini dividerà una Ferrari del team Richard Mille AF Corse con Lilou Wadoux e Custodio Toledo.

In America il padovano ci tornerà invece a inizio ottobre, per il conclusivo round della serie Endurance dell’IMSA a Road Atlanta, dove si svolgerà la Petit Le IMans.

Seventh in qualifying and seventh in GTD Pro at the end of the six-hour race. A result certainly below expectations at Road Atlanta for Riccardo Agostini.

The Paduan, teamed with Englishman James Calado in the Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo, despite an excellent driver-car-team package and a completely error-free drive, failed to place in the top five.

Essentially, Agostini and Calado paid the price in terms of speed, although in the end they were the best in their class in a Ferrari.

A shame, because overall the potential to aspire to something more was there. But not all the elements were there to achieve it.

Now it’s time to turn the page. Meanwhile, we’re looking ahead to the next European Le Mans Series event scheduled at the Belgian circuit of Spa on August 22nd and 23rd, where Agostini will share a Ferrari from the Richard Mille AF Corse team with Lilou Wadoux and Custodio Toledo.

The Paduan will return to America at the beginning of October for the final round of the IMSA Endurance Series at Road Atlanta, where the Petit Le IMans will take place.
