WEEKEND A STELLE E STRISCE PER RICCARDO AGOSTINI CHE TORNA IN PISTA SUL CIRCUITO DI ROAD AMERICA NELLA SERIE IMSA

Altro giro, altra pista per Riccardo Agostini, che prosegue il proprio impegno nel campionato americano IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship affrontando la gara di Elkhart Lake in programma questo fine settimana.

Sul circuito di Road America, nel Wisconsin, il pilota padovano si alternerà nuovamente al volante di una Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo del team Triarsi Competizione con l’inglese James Calado, assieme al quale anche in questa occasione completa un equipaggio Pro.

Reduce dal sesto posto della GTD Pro conquistato nella prestigiosa 6 Ore di Watkins Glen che si è disputata alla fine di giugno e che ha fatto seguito alla 24 Ore di Daytona e alla 12 Ore di Sebring, in cui ha ottenuto rispettivamente un ottavo e un settimo piazzamento sempre nella classe maggiore che raggruppa le vetture Gran Turismo, Agostini continua dunque ad alternare il proprio impegno nella serie Endurance a stelle e strisce a quello dell’European Le Mans Series che lo vedrà nuovamente protagonista il 22 e 23 agosto a Spa.

Intanto a Road America il veneto proverà nuovamente a fare il colpaccio, puntando a un podio (se non a una vittoria) che fino ad ora gli è sfuggito per una serie di circostanze poco favorevoli, nonostante l’ottimo pacchetto vettura-squadra-piloti.

Il programma del weekend entrerà nel vivo venerdì con la prima sessione di prove libere a partire dalle 19:25 ora italiana. Sabato dalle 17:50 CEST si svolgeranno le libere 2, mentre le qualifiche scatteranno alle 23:25. La gara prenderà il via domenica quando in Italia saranno le 18:40, per concludersi sei ore dopo. Another lap, another track for Riccardo Agostini, who continues his commitment to the American IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship by tackling this weekend’s Elkhart Lake race.

At the Road America circuit in Wisconsin, the Paduan driver will once again share the wheel of a Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo from Triarsi Competizione with Englishman James Calado, with whom he will once again complete a Pro crew.

Coming off a sixth-place finish in the GTD Pro class at the prestigious Watkins Glen 6 Hours, held at the end of June and following the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring, where he achieved eighth and seventh places, respectively, in the top class of GT cars. Agostini continues to alternate his commitments in the US Endurance series with that of the European Le Mans Series, which will see him again in action on August 22nd and 23rd at Spa.

Meanwhile, at Road America, the Venetian will once again attempt to pull off a coup, aiming for a podium (if not a win) that has so far eluded him due to a series of unfavorable circumstances, despite The excellent car-team-driver package.

The weekend program will kick off on Friday with the first free practice session starting at 7:25 PM CEST. Free practice 2 will take place on Saturday from 5:50 PM CEST, while qualifying will begin at 11:25 PM. The race will start on Sunday at 6:40 PM CEST and conclude six hours later.
