After a long break, the Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship is revving up again. Beppe Fascicolo is ready for the new challenge scheduled for this weekend at the Mugello International Circuit with the Stratia Motorsport team’s No. 16 Mercedes AMG GT3, following the usual format of two 50-minute races plus one lap.

The previous round took place at the end of May at the Vallelunga circuit, where Fascicolo and teammate Alexey Denisov finished seventh and sixth in the GT3 Am class.

“We’re approaching the Mugello weekend,” Fascicolo said. “It’s a beautiful place, a fantastic circuit, but also technically challenging. You need to be careful with your driving, pushing but not overdoing it to avoid damaging the tires too much. It will be a tough weekend, starting from qualifying, as the tires will give their all in the first laps. We’ve recently managed to test the car on this very track, so I feel quite confident that we can improve. We’re evaluating the strategy to adopt to compete with our rivals. Our goal, even though we’re aware of our current condition, remains the podium, which we’ve yet to achieve this season: that would be a fantastic result. We’ll try. Alexei also participated in the tests and is preparing for this challenge.

We’re expecting around sixty of our guests at Mugello: we hope to put in a strong performance to repay their trust and share A weekend of passion for motorsports.

Track action begins on Friday, July 24th, with two free practice sessions. Qualifying takes place on Saturday morning, followed by Race 1 in the afternoon, starting at 1:45 PM. Race 2 will be green-flagged on Sunday at 12:00 PM.

All races will be broadcast live on ACI Sport TV (Sky 228), streamed on the website www.acisport.it, and on the official social media channels of the Italian GT Championship.
