Fenici centra due podi nella “sua” Vallelunga in Carrera Cup

Al culmine di due gare combattutissime, Francesco Maria Fenici torna sul podio della Porsche Carrera Cup Italia all’Autodromo di Vallelunga. E sul circuito di casa lo fa in entrambe le occasioni proprio davanti al pubblico amico: tifosi, fan e sponsor non hanno risparmiato sostegno e supporto nel corso dell’intero weekend. Il pilota laziale si è lanciato nelle bagarre in pista al volante della 911 GT3 Cup da 510 cavalli nei colori Orodei e preparata da The Driving Experiences – Centri Porsche di Roma, dealer ufficiale anch’esso naturalmente coinvolto nella tappa casalinga.

Così come non è voluta mancare la stessa Orodei: il banco metalli iscritto all’albo degli operatori professionali in oro autorizzato dalla Banca d’Italia anche alla vendita online (da qui la piattaforma digitale Orodei24) era presente con una nutrita delegazione. L’esperienza in pista, fra l’altro, per tutti gli ospiti della FF Motorsport proseguirà a Vallelunga domani (martedì 7 luglio) con l’ormai classico “FFamily Day”, l’evento che Francesco Fenici organizza da diversi anni e che nell’occasione, anziché a inizio stagione, arriva come una sorta di coronamento dei due terzi posti conquistati dal pilota e testimonial della nota rivista “Autosprint” tra sabato e domenica scorsa.

Due podi fondamentali quelli centrati sul circuito che sorge alle porte di Roma. Fenici ha guadagnato punti preziosi grazie ai quali in Michelin Cup è riuscito ad accorciare il divario rispetto alla vetta della classifica (da -27 agli attuali -20 punti), nella quale si è mantenuto in top-5 e ora potrà giocarsi tutto alla ripartenza del prestigioso monomarca tricolore. Dopo una lunga pausa estiva, la Carrera Cup Italia inaugurerà la volata finale con il penultimo round del Misano World Circuit a metà settembre e poi darà appuntamento al Mugello per il gran finale.

Fenici dichiara nel post-Vallelunga: “Naturalmente sono contento di essere tornato sul podio della Carrera Cup in una stagione davvero competitiva e così combattuta, ma non posso fare i salti di gioia. C’è ancora molto lavoro da fare, le prossime tappe saranno quelle decisive e anche a Vallelunga non è stato un weekend semplice sotto il profilo della gestione della macchina. Però non ho mai mollato e alla fine, anche con un pizzico di fortuna, sono arrivati due terzi posti e soprattutto tanti punti che hanno ulteriormente accorciato la classifica. Questi podi erano importanti e sono felice che siano arrivati davanti ad amici, tifosi e sostenitori che ora ritroverò nel nostro classico ‘FFamily Day’. Poi la pausa estiva e al rientro sarà una gran lotta alla ripresa del campionato. Abbiamo un po’ di tempo per resettare e anche fare bene il punto con la squadra. Arriva nel momento ideale e a settembre vedremo di ripartire più pronti che mai”.

At the culmination of two fiercely contested races, Francesco Maria Fenici returns to the podium of the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia at the Vallelunga Racetrack. And on his home circuit, he did so on both occasions, right in front of his home crowd: fans, enthusiasts, and sponsors poured in their support throughout the weekend. The Lazio driver threw himself into the on-track battles behind the wheel of the 510-horsepower 911 GT3 Cup in the Orodei livery, prepared by The Driving Experiences – Porsche Centers of Rome, an official dealer also involved in the home race.

Nor did Orodei itself: the metal bank, registered in the register of professional gold dealers authorized by the Bank of Italy and also for online sales (hence the digital platform Orodei24), was present with a large delegation. The track experience for all FF Motorsport guests will continue at Vallelunga tomorrow (Tuesday, July 7) with the now-classic “FFamily Day,” an event Francesco Fenici has organized for several years. This event, rather than the start of the season, comes as a sort of culmination of the two third-place finishes earned by the driver and spokesperson for the renowned “Autosprint” magazine between last Saturday and Sunday.

Two crucial podium finishes were achieved on the circuit just outside Rome. Fenici earned valuable points, which helped him close the gap to the top of the Michelin Cup standings (from -27 to the current -20 points), where he has maintained a top-five position. He will now be able to play everything when the prestigious Italian single-make series resumes. After a long summer break, the Carrera Cup Italia will begin its final sprint with the penultimate round at the Misano World Circuit in mid-September, before moving on to Mugello for the grand finale.

Fenici stated after the Vallelunga victory: “Of course, I’m happy to be back on the Carrera Cup podium in a truly competitive and hard-fought season, but I can’t be overjoyed. There’s still a lot of work to do; the next few rounds will be decisive, and Vallelunga wasn’t an easy weekend in terms of car management either. But I never gave up, and in the end, with a bit of luck, I secured two third-place finishes and, above all, a lot of points, which further narrowed the standings. These podiums were important, and I’m happy they came in front of friends, fans, and supporters, whom I’ll now meet again at our classic ‘FFamily Day.’ Then there’s the summer break, and upon our return, it will be a great battle when the championship resumes. We have some time to reset and also take stock of the situation with the team. It comes at the perfect time, and in September we’ll be ready to start again, more ready than ever.”
