ELMS – Victory in Barcelona for Forestier Racing by Panis
A red flag interrupted 4 Hours of Barcelona saw the no29 Forestier Racing by Panis Oreca-Gibson take a dramatic win, with reigning LMP2 champions Esteban Masson and Oliver Gray joined by new teammate Louis Rousset on the top step of the podium to get their title defence off to a great start.
Algarve Pro Racing took the victory in the LMP2 Pro/Am category, with last year’s winners AF Corse in second and Duqueine Team in third.
The LMP3 victory was claimed by Rinaldi Racing after a great class battle with the no85 R-ace GP Duqueine, the no13 Inter Europol Competition Ligier and the no11 Eurointernational Ligier-Toyota.
Proton Competition took the win in the LMGT3 class with Tom Sargent crossing the line in the no75 Porsche 911 to take the victory in a car whose livery is celebrating Porsche’s first class win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1951. The no23 United Autosports McLaren 720S was second, 3 seconds behind the Porsche, with the no57 Kessel Racing Ferrari in third.
The next race will be the 4 Hours of Le Castellet on Sunday 3 May 2026.
Una gara interrotta dalla bandiera rossa alla 4 Ore di Barcellona ha visto la Forestier Racing n. 29 del team Panis Oreca-Gibson conquistare una vittoria spettacolare, con i campioni in carica della LMP2 Esteban Masson e Oliver Gray, affiancati dal nuovo compagno di squadra Louis Rousset, sul gradino più alto del podio, dando un ottimo inizio alla difesa del titolo.
L’Algarve Pro Racing si è aggiudicata la vittoria nella categoria LMP2 Pro/Am, con l’AF Corse, vincitore dello scorso anno, al secondo posto e il Duqueine Team al terzo.
La vittoria nella LMP3 è andata al Rinaldi Racing, al termine di un’avvincente battaglia di classe con la Duqueine R-ace GP n. 85, la Ligier Inter Europol Competition n. 13 e la Ligier-Toyota Eurointernational n. 11.
Proton Competition si è aggiudicata la vittoria nella classe LMGT3 con Tom Sargent al volante della Porsche 911 numero 75, la cui livrea celebra la prima vittoria di classe della Porsche alla 24 Ore di Le Mans del 1951. La McLaren 720S numero 23 del team United Autosports si è classificata seconda, a 3 secondi dalla Porsche, mentre la Ferrari numero 57 del team Kessel Racing ha conquistato il terzo posto.
La prossima gara sarà la 4 Ore di Le Castellet, domenica 3 maggio 2026.
