IRON LYNX SET FOR 2026 START WITH BARCELONA ELMS PROLOGUE

The 2026 endurance racing season is finally set to start at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as the European Le Mans Series kicks off with the traditional prologue at the Spanish venue.

Ahead of the season-opening 4 Hours of Barcelona, teams and drivers will have the chance to enter an extra two days of rehearsal, to get things back in motion in an official setting and start fine tuning for the race ahead. More than 15 hours of testing time will be available throughout Easter Monday and Tuesday, before the weekend gets started with Practice on Friday.

The Prologue will be the first official outing for the team this year as it approaches its second season with the Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 racecars, and for the first time, it will field two of the German machines to chase more accolades after the pole positions and podiums of 2025.

Running under the Iron Lynx banner, the #63 will welcome Zimbabwean Bronze Ameerh Naran, who is making the step to the ELMS championship. Reigning ELMS Champion Rui Andrade will be the Silver of choice. The Angolan will undergo a double programme, also entering the FIA WEC season with the team. High-profile Brazilian Sérgio Sette Câmara will complete the line-up.

For this season, Iron Lynx will support the Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation, as the Middle Eastern country makes its grand entrance at the highest level of endurance competition. The #62 Mercedes-AMG LMGT3, racing under the Team Qatar by Iron Lynx banner, will be welcoming Qatari Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi, German Julian Hanses, and Briton Adam Christodolou.

La stagione 2026 delle gare di durata sta finalmente per iniziare al Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya con il tradizionale prologo della European Le Mans Series sul circuito spagnolo.

Prima della 4 Ore di Barcellona, ​​gara di apertura della stagione, team e piloti avranno la possibilità di partecipare a due giorni extra di prove, per riprendere confidenza con il mezzo in un contesto ufficiale e iniziare a mettere a punto la vettura in vista della gara. Saranno disponibili oltre 15 ore di test tra lunedì e martedì di Pasqua, prima dell’inizio del weekend con le prove libere di venerdì.

Il prologo rappresenterà il primo impegno ufficiale per il team quest’anno, alla sua seconda stagione con le Mercedes-AMG LMGT3, e per la prima volta schiererà due vetture tedesche per puntare a nuovi successi dopo le pole position e i podi del 2025.

Sotto il marchio Iron Lynx, la vettura numero 63 darà il benvenuto al pilota zimbabwese Bronze Ameerh Naran, al suo debutto nel campionato ELMS. Il campione in carica dell’ELMS, Rui Andrade, sarà il pilota di punta della categoria Silver. L’angolano parteciperà a un doppio programma, prendendo parte anche alla stagione del FIA WEC con il team. A completare la formazione ci sarà il brasiliano di alto profilo Sérgio Sette Câmara.

Per questa stagione, Iron Lynx supporterà la Federazione Automobilistica e Motociclistica del Qatar, in occasione del debutto del Paese mediorientale nella massima competizione di endurance. La Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 numero 62, che correrà sotto le insegne del Team Qatar by Iron Lynx, accoglierà al suo fianco il qatariota Abdulla Ali Al-Khelaifi, il tedesco Julian Hanses e il britannico Adam Christodolou.
