Sold Out January NASCAR Recruitment Test Left Driver Eager to Hit the Track in Valencia
The NASCAR Recruitment Tests are successfully continuing to attract new talent eager to experience the official European NASCAR championship. On January 29-30, 2026, eleven international drivers converged on Fontenay-le-Comte, France, to test the roaring V8 machines. They completed their initial laps and shared valuable time with both driver coaches Lucas Lasserre and Gil Linster, as well as NASCAR Euro Series CEO and President Jerome Galpin, who attended all sessions to personally guide the newcomers.
The Pure Racing machines once again earned universal acclaim, just as they did in the December 4-5, 2025 Recruitment Tests. Drivers specifically praised the exceptional balance and agility, perfectly complemented by the seamless and high-performance sequential gearbox from Samsonas.
The first day of the tests on January 29 saw Nathalie Neumann step into the NASCAR Euro Series car for the first time. Neumann received this special opportunity after being suggested by fellow Luxembourger Gil Linster, the top driver who recommended her participation in the Recruitment Tests. She left a positive impression on everyone involved and is now working hard to secure her dreams to be on the grid and contest for the Lady Trophy in 2026.
“Nathalie did her first laps and it’s a very cool impression,” said Linster. “It will be a big day for a lot of the rookies, so stay tuned to see our young stars join the series. I hope that we find a good seat for Nathalie and fight for the Lady Trophy.”
NASCAR Recruitment Tests are designed to welcome drivers from all backgrounds, including those who wanted to learn the series in Rookie Challenge’s environment. These were the goals that Alan Saber from Australia and Parry had when they entered the Tests on January 30. Both drivers expressed their desire to compete in Rookie Challenge and with the experience gained from the Recruitment Tests, they will be better prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.
The Recruitment Tests also welcomed a rising star of the NASCAR Canada Series: Brad Ranson. Ranson rose up the ranks of Canadian motorsport and was given the chance by DJK Racing to make his NASCAR Canada debut in the 2026 season. To prepare for his upcoming NASCAR adventure, Ranson went across the pond to further hone his skills in the European counterparts of his championship. “We’re here at Fontenay in France testing out with the NASCAR Euro Series. It’s been a great two days here with the NASCAR Euro Series and we’ll see where it leads in the future. Hopefully we get back across the pond to do a race over here,” said Ranson after the tests.
Alexander Wastl and Bence Varga (Hungary), Renan Cattucci (UK), Maximilian Seth and Tyler Lauser (Germany), Sebastian Kuccera (Poland) also joined the list of drivers who earned their first steps in the NASCAR Euro Series.
With the significant success and sustained interest demonstrated by the test days, the NASCAR Recruitment Tests continue to represent the optimal pathway for drivers globally to gain entry into the series and participate in the NASCAR Euro Series championship.
