BRC GR Cup : how much does it cost?

In addition to offering an exceptional reward to its winner, with at least one rally behind the wheel of a Rally2 car in 2027, the new BRC GR Cup organised by i4Race offers particularly attractive value for money. Here are the details of the actual costs.

Unveiled at the end of December, the BRC GR Cup has been the talk of the Belgian rallying world and beyond. It must be said that this new competition, which will see drivers compete in Toyota GR Yaris Cup cars, offers an exceptional prize: three rounds of the 2027 Belgian Rally Championship at the wheel of a Rally2 car for the winner, if they are under 29 years of age!

To recall, all Toyota GR Yaris Cup cars (262 horsepower, four-wheel drive and sequential gearbox) will be prepared in-house at i4Race to place all competitors on an equal footing. The organiser is taking advantage of the start of the year to announce the actual costs of participating in the BRC GR Cup. As indicated, the price/performance ratio is particularly attractive.

“Registration for the BRC GR Cup costs just € 2,000 including VAT and includes driver and co-driver suits, a pair of gloves and clothing in the Cup colours,” explains Laurent Dujacquier on behalf of i4Race. “The costs per rally, in the “Arrive & Drive” formula, are € 9,900 excluding VAT for a one-day rally and € 13,900 excluding VAT for a two-day event. This includes the hire of a Toyota GR Yaris Cup car, assistance, insurance, petrol and four new tyres. Competitors must add the rally entry fee, the accident excess and their living expenses. They also have the option of purchasing additional tyres: a maximum of four for a one-day rally and a maximum of eight for a two-day event. Compared to Rally3 or Rally4 cars, these prices are very competitive for a car with such performance capabilities.”

As previously stated, the winner of the BRC GR Cup will be able to participate in a Belgian Rally Championship event with a Rally2 car. Virtually all expenses will be covered, with the exception of the car entry fee, insurance, additional tyres (four are included) and living expenses. And if the winner is a Junior (under 29 years of age), the reward will be even greater, with three events offered (under the same conditions).

“The aim of i4Race is twofold: to offer a formula with unbeatable value for money for everyone and, as a bonus, to reveal talented young drivers,” continues Laurent Dujacquier. “This is the first step in a longer-term project: our dream is to support young people in their future development.”

In the meantime, the BRC GR Cup continues its preparations. At i4Race and its partners (Piragri Oil, Gego Team and MRF Tyres), we are counting down the days until the launch of this new competition at the Rallye de Wallonie on 25 and 26 April. The BRC GR Cup will then move on to the Sezoensrally (16 May), the Ardeca Ypres Rally (26 and 27 June), the Omloop van Vlaanderen (4 and 5 September), the East Belgian Rally (26 September) and the Spa Rally (28 and 29 November).
