RALLYE DU VAR 2011 : A FIRST FOR NELSON PANCIATICI

Nelson PANCIATICI,  who we usually see in the WORLD SERIES by Renault, will compete in the Rallye du Var for the “FIESTA VAR CHALLENGE” organised by Alain MAHE. Nelson will drive in a Groupe Maurin FORD FIESTA R2 in the P1 ADVANCED RACEWEAR, RALF TECH watch and EUROFORMULA colours. This final challenge in the French Rally Championship brings drivers from all horizons together, every year, and they will all be driving with to reach their goal, whatever that might be.
Nelson PANCIATICI will be discovering it all, from taking notes to the peculiarity of the Var roads and not least the presence of a co-driver. He will be on the starting line of his first rally to learn, even though a driven competitor like him will want to do better than that.
Nelson PANCIATICI: “I’ve wanted to do a rally for a long time, the opportunity came up and I didn’t hesitate for one second! I know it’s not going to be easy and I’m expecting to run into difficulties especially listening to the notes. I’m relying a lot on René PADOVANI, my co-driver, to help me improve quickly. I’m doing It  above all for my own pleasure but that doesn’t mean I’m not preparing it seriously. I’m watching lots of videos and practising taking notes so that the odds are on our site. The videos are a bit like a simulator on the track! I will first get into the Fiesta R2 at  the “shakedown”, which will give me a chance to compare  my reconnaissance notes taken the day before. We will try to improve throughout the rally to really let loose on the throttle at the end of the race. We wouldn’t mind some good weather to make it easier for us. In any case, I want to thank Alain Mahé and my partners who have given me this opportunity, I will do the best I can to give them an excellent race!”
For the duration of this rally, Nelson PANCIATICI will join his best friend Mathieu ARZENO, who is producing some wonders behind the wheel of his Citroën DS3 R3.
The show will certainly be worth watching on the routes of the Rallye du Var on November 25, 26 and 27 and you can rest assured that Nelson PANCIATICI will be playing his part. Then he will be back on the road for the BARCELONA circuit where free practice is programmed for the very next Monday!
