AF CORSE VINCE L’INTERCONTINENTAL LE MANS CUP CON FISICHELLA E BRUNI

ZHUHAI – AF Corse, con la Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 guidata da Giancarlo Fisichella e Gianmaria Bruni, vince l’Intercontinental Le Mans Cup. Al termine della gara cinese di Zhuhai, ultimo appuntamento in calendario, il team italiano si aggiudica la prestigiosa competizione internazionale nella combattutissima categoria GTE Pro. Il titolo nell’Intercontinental Le Mans Cup si aggiunge alla recente vittoria della Le Mans Series, ottenuta sempre con la nuova GT2 del Cavallino guidata dalla coppia di piloti romani. Senza dubbio, per il team di Amato Ferrari, la stagione è brillante. Evidentemente vincente.

AF Corse, con 108 punti raggiunti, riesce a confermarsi al vertice di un campionato dominatio fin dall’inizio. Ferrari vince il campionato costruttori dell’Intercontinental Le Mans Cup grazie a 171 punti raccolti.

Per quanto riguarda la singola gara cinese, la Ferrari numero 51 ha chiuso al quinto posto. Un problema al primo pit stop ha rallentato la perfomance di Fisico e Bruni. Dopo l’episodio, il team ha optato per una strategia di gara conservativa, limitando al minimo i rischi. La quinta posizione - in virtù del largo margine accumulato nel corso della stagione ed arrivato a +14 punti alla vigilia dell’ultima gara – era matematicamente sufficiente per permettere la vittoria del difficile campionato, la massima espressione per vetture GT e prototipo.
