BWT Mücke Motorsport have added yet another talented junior to their driver line-up for 2018. The illustrious Berlin-based outfit has yet another contender for honours in the ADAC Formula 4 series and its Italian equivalent in the shape of Niklas Krütten from Germany. He will also be entered the 2018 Formula 4 UAE in the United Arab Emirates. Krütten will contest his first race on European soil in the ADAC Formula 4 season opener at Oschersleben (28th – 30th April 2018).

Despite being only 15 years old, he has already accumulated a great deal of circuit racing experience. Krütten began competing in the KCT Mini Kart Cup at the tender age of eight. The first big moment in his budding career came with a third-place finish in the 2012 Westdeutscher ADAC Kart Cup. He then progressed through other prestigious and highly competitive national kart race series such as the ADAC Kart Masters. The BWT Mücke Motorsport newcomer has since made a name for himself among the international elite with Top Five and Top Ten placements in the German Kart Championship, the Italian Trofeo delle Industrie and the CIK-FIA European and World Championships.

BWT Mücke Motorsport continue to live up to their reputation of discovering and nurturing young talents. In the past, the team has promoted motorsport greats such as Sebastian Vettel, Pascal Wehrlein, Marco Wittmann and Lucas Auer, guiding them on their career path into Formula 1 and the DTM. The outfit founded and led by Peter Mücke has also been in German and Italian Formula 4 since the inaugural season of the two series and boasts an impressive number of 16 race wins and 58 podium finishes.

Peter Mücke (Team Principal): “In recent years, we have repeatedly shown how good we are at talent spotting. As regards the forthcoming campaign, I believe that we have once again made a good choice in Niklas. We’ve been watching him for quite a while and seen that he has what it takes to challenge for the Best Rookie title in 2018. He demonstrated that in impressive fashion during recent tests in one of our ‘Pink Panthers’. Niklas has done well in karting at both national and international level, and the time is ripe for him to take the next big step together with us. Like any rookie, Niklas will learn a lot in his first season in Formula 4, and as for the team, we have the rookie title firmly in our sights.”
