Renault e.dams concluded a second positive day of pre-season testing after topping both sessions in Valencia.
Again, like yesterday, Sébastien Buemi was the team’s fastest driver with a lap time of 1:21.890s during the morning session and 1:22.057s in the afternoon. Nico, meanwhile, finished fifth in both sessions.
If the timings were slightly slower than yesterday, that was because a new chicane has been added to the start/finish straight after a crash and several complaints on the opening day of pre-season testing.
The last day of pre-season testing will run on Thursday with the morning session from 9am to 12pm before the afternoon session takes place between 2pm and 5pm.
Sébastien Buemi, #9: “We had fewer problems than yesterday so today was a good day. We could still improve before the first ePrix in Hong Kong especially with our reliability. This is our main objective because the track here is not quite representative of what we are used to racing on in Formula E but it’s still very encouraging to know that we topped both sessions today.”
Nico Prost, #8: “Today was a good day and we worked really well. We had very good pace when using the 180kW map. We could still do better and we are going to use as much as possible of our last day of testing on Thursday. But overall, these two days have been positive.”
