Vaillante REBELLION flies to the 6 Hours of Mexico

The summer season ends and the second part of this FIA WEC season will start with the meetings of America and Asia. First race this weekend at the Hermanos Rodriguez circuit in Mexico City. It is a particular track for the drivers because it culminates at more than 2200m above sea level. Bodies are facing changes and drivers will have to adapt to this new environment.

The two crews are now complete after being modified at the Nürburgring last July. As a reminder, Nicolas Prost and Nelson Piquet Jr were engaged in Formula E, Filipe Albuquerque and Pipo Derani have come to replace them for the race, realizing quality relays on the German circuit.
The two Oreca 07s are now composed of Mathias Beche, Nelson Piquet Jr and David Heinemeier Hansson for the #13 and Bruno Senna, Nicolas Prost and Julien Canal for the #31.

No doubt that the six drivers will continue their good season and compete for the top podium steps for the remaining five races!

Nicolas Prost, #31 driver:
“I am very happy to be back with Julien and Bruno. I do not know the circuit of Mexico, it will be necessary to learn it quickly. The competition is going to be tight but I’m sure we will have the strength to fight.”

Mathias Beche, #13 driver:
“I am very happy to be back to the team for this second half of the championship. It’s always fantastic to run abroad. I discovered for myself Mexico, its culture, its circuit. The weather is currently very unstable and this will necessarily play an important role in the race this weekend because the competition intensifies and everyone wants to score points! I have prepared myself well and I am ready to take up the challenge.”
