Gilles Gaignault reacts to Creventic’s false statement

A RIXE IN THE WORLD OF ENDURANCE AFTER CREVENTIC’S STATEMENT

CREVENTIC, the Dutch organizer and promoter of the 24H PROTO SERIES powered by Hankook, having pompously declared “being the first real series of endurance exclusively reserved for Prototypes” is quickly forgetting the existence of Championships like those organized by the ELMS (European Le Mans Series) or those organised by the V de V Endurance Series that have just celebrated their… 25th anniversary. Naturally, the reaction of Éric Van de Vyver, its creator wasn’t slow in coming. It is true that Ole Dörlemann on behalf of CREVENTIC was shameless enough to give this kind of false statement :

“The 24H PROTO SERIES powered by Hankook is the first true endurance series conceived exclusively for prototypes. ” This is how the competitor of the V de V Endurance Series presents his” novelty “, and continues : ” Our series targets amateur drivers whom we want to offer more time on the track on prestigious circuits, all at affordable costs. In this way, we allow them to get to know the world of endurance racing (…). The 24H PROTO SERIES is the world’s first prototype endurance series with 12-hour events on top-level circuits that allow high speeds, which are perfectly suited for this type of racing car.”

We will remind simply that the ELMS and the “V de V” have exactly this type of competitions whether CREDENTIC likes it or not.
