South Africa’s Jonathan Aberdein returns to Abu Dhabi this weekend intent on making it ten wins out of ten races in the UAE winter season. Cape Town racer Aberdein has won every race he has started in the Gulf this year, with triple victories in the previous Abu Dhabi Trophy race and then repeating the feat in the Formula 4 UAE opener in Dubai late November.
“I’m really enjoying my time here in the UAE,” Jonathan admitted on arrival at the Yas Marina circuit ahead of the weekend’s races. “It’s also great to be alongside the Gulf 12 hour this weekend with my fellow South African David Perel. “Hopefully we can put on a good show and bring home some silverware!”
This weekend will see four Formula 4 UAE rounds around the Abu Dhabi grand prix circuit. Aberdein is using the Gulf series to build up experience in the lead up to his second season in the ADAC German Formula 4 championship in 2017.
