The only free practice that took place this morning on the street circuit of Monte Carlo, home of the second round of the World Series Renault 3.5, provided AVF by Adrián Vallés with an important feedback. Alfonso Celis and Beitske Visser did a good job and and traffic was the only reason that prevented them from reaching the top end of the charts. The sensations collected are positive, and the expectations for the qualification that will take place tomorrow morning at 9 am are high.

“It was my first time on a street circuit and has not been easy. Compared to other tracks, I had to use a different approach. Here you can not attack immediately, the risk of hitting the barriers is high. We must therefore make progress lap after lap, without overdoing it, and that’s what I did. In the end I kept a good pace, but I exaggerated at the Casino corner and spun without hitting the barriers anyway. The potential of the car is high, for the qualification I hope to fight for an important position”.

“It was a strange session, affected by the traffic that I have ever met and prevented me to push as I wanted. Fortunately we will be divided in two groups during qualifying and the track will be much faster. I think we have a very quick car, I easily marked the fifth place in the beginning, then I was not been able to improve myself because I always found a slow car and I went down in the rankings. Today’s result does not represent our real potential”.
