Aceleration14 – Slovakia Ring: Four Slovakian drivers, Gonda demo and sold out music show!

The Slovakia Ring hosted ACCELERATION’s fifth round of the season. Danny van Dongen (NLD) took the lead in the MW-V6 Pickup Series championship standings and Davit Kajaia (GEO) is maintaining his leadership in the Legend SuperCup. The weather changed constantly, which created a lot of spectacle on the track. Even though the FA1 championship couldn’t be part of the race weekend, the Slovakian FA1 driver Richard Gonda gave an amazing demo to his home fans. On top of that, the  “Celebrating the 80s & 90s With The Hoff” show was completely sold out.

Four Slovakian drivers were part of the ACCELERATION event at the Slovakia Ring in the MW-V6 Pickup Series. Christian Malcharek finished third in the first race, Attila Barta was third in the second race and the Slovakian Filip Sladecka had his fist podium place in the last race. Sladecka: “It went well from the beginning. After the start I was on P3. The race was completely exhausting and I’m happy to finish the weekend on the podium.” Samuel Sladecka drove a few races in the Legend SuperCup. Overall it was Danny van Dongen that had a great weekend in Slovakia with two out of three wins in the MW-V6 Pickup Series. He is now the new leader of the 2014 championship.

With two Swiss newcomers in the Legend SuperCup, championship leading Davit Kajaia had to fight with new competition. One of the guys was Yannick Mettler (SUI) and he won the last race. Mettler: “It was a huge amount of fun, and one of my best races probably. I’ve raced in single seaters for a long time but I never had such close racing.” Kajaia said: “The new and young guys from Switzerland were really fast and drove well. We fought a lot with each other. It has been important for me to end on the podium a few times, to keep up in my leading position of the championship.” Dutch Ferry Monster took a win during the first race, which was held under heavy rain. Monster: “It was a matter of surviving and that is what I did.” ACCELERATION at the Slovakia Ring also hosted a 600 & 1000 cc motorbike cup.
