ACCELERATION 2014 GETTING READY FOR MONZA

The Autodromo Nazionale di Monza will be the fourth venue for ACCELERATION 2014 from 6 to 8 June 2014. FA1 cars, MW-V6 Pickups and Legend Supercup will form the starting grids on this legendary Italian track. In addition, the BOSS GP championship will join ACCELERATION in Monza to create a wide variety of car races. Targeted towards families, ACCELERATION offers three days of races and music performances.

Italian race fans will cheer the reigning Megane Eurocup champion Mirko Bortolotti. Driving for FA1 team Italy, or better said Team Ghinzani, Bortolotti is on top in the championship standings after three race weekends. “The team wants me to keep running, so I’m looking forward to drive our home race. Monza is quite a special track for me, because I won the Formula 2 championship there in 2011. I got good memories on that track and I really like it as well. I look forward to race there and hopefully we can have the same good results as we had this far”, said Bortolotti.

BOSS GP
The abbreviation BOSS stands for Big Open Single Seaters. The races will be between the top from the international single-seater class and part of the ACCELERATION event in Monza with GP2, World Series by Renault/Nissan, F3000 cars. One or two Formula 1 cars might also appear. BOSS GP is officially approved by the FIA as an ‘International’ race series and registered by the National Motorsport Authority of San Marino with its honorary president Jean Todt.
